The “Dream Above Water: Jerusalem Exhibition” has officially opened in Istanbul, attracting art enthusiasts and scholars alike. Hosted at the Diyanet Center for Islamic Art, this special exhibition offers visitors a unique visual journey through the heart of Jerusalem, showcasing the profound historical and spiritual significance of the city in Islamic tradition.

Curated by a team of distinguished Turkish and Palestinian artists, the exhibition features a variety of artworks, including calligraphy, painting, and photography, each reflecting the sacred essence of Jerusalem, known as “Al-Quds” in Arabic. The collection aims to evoke the deep connection that Muslims worldwide feel towards the holy city, focusing on its religious, cultural, and social heritage.

The exhibition’s curator, Halit Uçkun, emphasized the importance of art in communicating the spiritual atmosphere of Jerusalem. He noted that the exhibit is not only a tribute to the city’s rich Islamic history but also a reminder of the ongoing significance of Jerusalem in the modern world.
